THE BERSEY WAREHOUSE

Contemporary refurbishment of 1920’s textile warehouse.

PURPOSE OF THE WORK

Conversion of textile warehouse into office space, restaurant and retail space including the addition of two new storeys on top of the existing three-storey building and a basement below.

WHAT WE DELIVERED:

Structura UK Ltd fabricated & installed:

  • Aluprof curtainwall to the ground & fourth floor facades
  • Schuco double doors onto the new fourth floor terrace
  • Comar double automatic doors to the main entrance
  • Schuco single doors to bin & bicycle stores
  • We also installed a Lonsdale lantern skylight to bring daylight into an internal meeting room.

BENEFITS:

A totally up to date look for a previously ‘tired’ building, whilst not listed it lies in the South Shoreditch Conservation Area and has been sympathetically converted with a striking colour specification combining green powder coating, brass cladding and copper panels.  Bare concrete and original brickwork inside the building provide a great contrast to the modern curtainwall and doors.
