New Facility for Bath School of Art & Design

Structura has been awarded a prestigious glazing contract as part of a £20 million project by Wilmott Dixon to convert the former Herman Miller furniture factory into a new School of Art and Design for Bath Spa University. The conversion has been designed by Grimshaw Architects.
The popular local landmark on Locksbrook Road, Bath has been empty since 2012.
As part of the development, the building will have a new upper floor, which will be glazed from floor to ceiling to make the most of its idyllic setting. The new building, due to open in 2019, will provide a contemporary learning environment for the University’s art and design students, creating a people-focused space that brings together different disciplines, staff, students and the public.
