22 Jan Net Zero targets update
At Structura, we’ve been clear about our roadmap to achieving Net Zero as a business. We’re thrilled to share that our Net Zero target has now been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
This achievement reflects years of strategic and consistent evolution across our business. Key milestones include the installation of solar panels in 2011, powering our advanced manufacturing facility with 100% Net Zero electricity since 2021, and reporting to ISO carbon reduction standards since 2022.
After five years of gathering sustainability data and steadily reducing our emissions, this approval confirms that our approach aligns with the global pathway for limiting climate change and achieving meaningful reductions by 2032. It’s an important moment for our business and for the partners, clients and communities we work with.
Some of the actions already shaping our journey:
- 232,800,000 kWh of solar energy generated since 2011- saving 132.2 tonnes CO₂e
- 100% zero-emission company car fleet
- Measurement of all significant Scope 3 emissions using verified EPD data
- ISO 14001 and ISO 14064-1 certification
- 64% reduction in Scope 1 & 2 emissions since 2018
- All materials dispatched in 100% recyclable protective packaging
- Active support for circular economy projects
These results reflect long-term investment and practical change across every part of Structura, from design and fabrication to how we power our facilities and work with suppliers.
Later this year we’ll publish our first triple bottom line ESG report, focusing on People, Planet and Prosperity, and setting out the next phase of our carbon reduction plan as we continue towards Net Zero.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this journey so far. There is more to come…
