| The SSP1 is a fully
drained and ventilated, pitched, single flap, natural smoke and
heat exhaust ventilator and has successfully passed a series of
stringent tests to British Standards.
Providing smoke and heat exhaust, it has been fully tested at
the Warrington Fire Research Establishment to the requirements
of BS 7346 Part 1: 1990
A weathertightness test carried out at Taywood Engineering satisfactorily
achieved the following test results: air permeability BS 5368
Part 1/BS EN 1026:2000; watertightness (static) – BS 5368:
Part 2/BS EN 1027:2000; wind resistance (serviceability) –
BS 5368: Part 3/BS EN 12211:2000; air permeability (Class C) –
BS 6375: Part 1/BS EN 12207:2000.
Wind tunnel testing was undertaken at the Building Research Establishment,
Watford, to determine the SSP1’s aerodynamic performance.
The ventilator was installed in the BRE Vents and Louvres Test
Facility (BREVAL), and the coefficient of discharge measured for
a range of opening angles in accordance with Appendix A of BS
7346: Part 1:1990.
Designed as a complete package including control panels, rain
and wind sensors etc. for connection to the building management
system or as a stand-alone solution. |
